Today. We have a very special guest. Her name is Katja,who is current CMO of Template, but she's had a lot of experience as interim CMO in the past. Is that correct?

Katja
Yes. Yes, correct.

Tan
Welcome, Katja. Tanja
I have a question for you. The topic is marketing trends. What's your take on marketing trends in general as a phenomenon? And also, do you see any marketing trends happening for next year?

Katja
Oh, I love this question because I follow trends a lot, meaning that I like to predict things before they even happen. I think I see trends two ways. Either it's things that, okay, things are moving. There's a trending thing. Things are moving towards something. It might not be here today. For example, a web3 metaverse every market or that is a trend.


We have to know what is happening, but it does not involve most consumers or even marketers lives yet. It's definitely a trend, but it's a future trend that we have to know. Then there are trends that, okay, let's say short form video like Tik Tok, all of these, that's already a mainstream. Yeah that's more material that that probably that that was trending already five years ago.

Like that was like okay five years ago. You have to start really paying attention on the short format or audio. But like, audio was that was an audio trend was emerging in 2000. Three or four while digital audio so now it's like mainstream. So you have to think of these trends and like okay what is emerging and what you should be looking and learning today and not maybe thinking on the execution on what are the tactics that you should be doing.

And then there are the trends that, okay, this is the last moment this is happening. Like you have to get on your.

Your late to the party already?

Katja
Yes! Like, this is trending or even on the day to day. Like this is what Tik Tok sound to day that and I think most CMO's they have to look at the trends, both like forecasting what is happening in the future, where we are going and hey, what is happening right now in this moment and you have to create your strategy in a way that you are kind of pulling from both trend. What are they interested in?

What's the one thing you're excited about? 2023.


Katja
It's always content marketing because I love media. So it probably is. And this actually the audio video, you know, I love words, but I'm really definitely that that's something that I want to do for myself with my own podcast but also for all of my clients. So I am excited that this shorter format content that it's something that people love to consume, like your show.

Tanja
When you talk about audio, do you mean podcasts? Is there anything else we should know when talking about audio?

Katja
Oh, absolutely. For example, audio search is something that, you know, Alexa, you know, everybody is using these. So there's a lot more to audio than just creating content that has audio and or a voice about voice recognition, you know, So. So absolutely It's it's it's more than that.
